Description

Other Worlds Are Possible (D’autres Mondes Sont Possibles) – Virtual Reality In Art And Storytelling was the first exhibition in Belgium entirely dedicated to the history of spatial and virtual art and storytelling. Between March and September 2025, Le Pavillon, KIKK’s digital art venue in Namur, explored virtual and augmented reality as the focus of its latest artistic, technological, and scientific investigation.

The first section of the exhibition introduced artistic practices across disciplines that contributed to the continuous evolution of the relationship between artist, audience, and technologically enhanced (or questioned) mediums, from traditional painting, theatre, and film to digital art. It drew extensively on archival materials from the early and late 20th century, presented under the graphic direction of Pierre-Christophe Gam, whose distinctive aesthetic gave rhythm and personality to this historical journey.

Courtesy of KIKK - Le Pavillon, this publication presents the exhibition materials in their original format, in three languages, as shown in Namur from March to September 2025, with all video content replaced by still-image placeholders. Exhibition posters courtesy of Pierre-Christophe Gam.
